The Hearth Gallery is where creative people of all stripes gather from all over Bowen and the Lower Mainland. In 2018, The Cove Commons was constructed in partnership with the Bowen Island Library and includes the Hearth Gallery space which has a full and diverse calendar of exhibitions and events.

The Cultural Corner Stage and plaza at the Cove Commons will host local artists and performers during the 2024 Bowen Arts Tour.

Artists working in all types of media have shown their work at the Hearth Gallery and it is a key gathering place for Bowen’s community to engage with the arts in the form of workshops, classes, festivals, concerts, and many other cultural events.

The Bowen Island Arts Council was formed over 35 years ago and as an organization run by artists, we know what it takes to foster creativity and community.
