For many years now, I have been drawn to creating imaginary landscapes, hoping to convey through the. quality of light, a certain mood of stillness and expectancy . My medium has been oil paint. For the most part, I am self taught. Though not prolific, I have been fortunate to sell most of the paintings I’ve produced. I have participated in a few group exhibitions, as well as a duo exhibition at the Hearth Gallery in 2021. My wife, Sarah, and I have lived on Bowen for over ten years. During that period, my creative activity has been divided between painting and working as the chief matter and framer at the Vancouver Art Gallery. As of this year, I’m quite excited to say I can now more fully devote myself to painting.
