Materiality rooted Renaissance Intermedia Artist, Alchemyst, educator, curator, BIPOC Femme Afro-Futuristic Time-Traveller, V holds 5th level Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) & Chado (tea-ceremony) degrees with Urasenke-Kyoto & lifetimes of Indigo knowledge. V landed on Gaia in Honolulu & has traveled the planet in space and time. V has degrees in EECS UC-Berkeley & MFA NSCAD, Halifax N.S
Valérie’s studio-centered Artwork interweaves enviro-positive processes, global-healing, natural dyeing, Shibori hand-shaped resist patterning, natural inks, katazomé, ochre pigment printing, quotidian observations, immersive installations, Black-Diasporic story-telling, community-centric activism, epigenetic memories & Afro-Futurism. Her curatorial work explores magical surrealistic revelations. Her Indigo vats sing Studio life is living.
