Liz's eye is drawn to the beauty of our local coastline where water meets land and abundant sea life adorns tidal pools. Sun-warmed rocks, gnarly arbutus trees, sea stars and the many moods and colours of the ocean are common features in her work. Liz paints with oil and acrylic and her style is both realistic and whimsical. She is inspired by light in its many forms and she enjoys playing with colour and movement in her paintings. She has taught drawing and painting workshops to children, youth and adults and she has a line of Bowen Island greeting cards featuring her original paintings of local scenes.
